Which is better, a hamster or a rabbit?

I dont know wheter or not I should get a rabbit or a hamster. Which are more friendly and are better pets? Please give your opinion and why. Thank you!Which is better, a hamster or a rabbit?
A guinea pig.

Lol I know you didn't mention them but research them.

Hamsters are prone to illness and tumours and only live for two years - it is terrible to watch them die slowly and in pain.

Rabbits are lovely but can really smell and take a lot of cleaning.

A short haired guinea pig is a perfect pet they are affectionate don't smell bad and live for up to 8 years.

Just research each of them and you will know what one you want.

OMYGOSH! i cant believe you have to ask that question haha! rabbits are so much better. First of all you can give theloads of big huggles. They wont fidget when you hold them (like hammies) and they live MUCH longer. Rabbits may cost more but trust me it worth it. I have four rabbits and 3 hamsters. I have nothing against hamsters. I LOVE THEM BOTH! but i would advise a rabbit. Hope this helps and good luck!
hamsters are easier. dont get rabbits unless you are prepared to get 2 as they are supposed to live in pairs. smae sex pairs will fight, so you have to get a spayed female and a neutered male and bond them. they need at least 5ft hutch and 6ft run. i would suggest a hamster if you want something easy.
My opinion Hamsters are the better pets. Firstly they are a lot cheaper to buy than rabbits. The cages, food and vetaiary costs are alot cheaper, and I also feel it is as playfull, loveable and fun as a rabbit. They also leave a smaller amount of mess, (rabbits poop alot) and it is very easy to keep them in the house. It i diffucult to house train rabbits so it is best to keep them outside. But you need a place to put them when its cold, keep that in mind. They seem to be more prone to other diseases than a hamster, and are fairly expensive to keep. They also regulary need to be taken to the vet to have their claws clipped ect. when for a hamster you don't. It is harder to train a rabbit than a hamster, and if a hamster bites you it is really less painful than a rabbit biting you. Personally if you get a hamster get a roboski or a russain dwarf, I have found these breeds the cutest and the more light tempered, and easier to handle. (Although they are quite fast.) Hamsters are great pets, I would recommend them. Read some guides on how to care for hamsters and you will realise they are very short compared to rabbit guides. Also hamsters can live longer than 2 years. Afew of my hamsters have lived up to four. Good luck on deciding.
