Can i keep a male rabbit with a guinea pig?

I have just homed a male rabbit as it was living in poor conditions. I would love him to have someone to play with and to snuggle up to when its cold. Can I keep a male rabbit with a guinea pig. If so what sex of guinea pig?

Thank youCan i keep a male rabbit with a guinea pig?
Rabbits and guinea pigs should not be housed together as they have different feeding requirements and the rabbit could hurt the guinea pig. However, they could be let out for play time together (under supervision) if you were willing to get another cage for the guinea pig.

Other than that, your only option is to get the rabbit neutered and get him a lady friend :) (Be careful to get a vet that knows what they're doing though as mine died during a neuter op) the female would then need to be spayed. Males and males don't tend to go together so well without fighting. Can i keep a male rabbit with a guinea pig?
Well, your rabbit could kill the guinea pig by kicking it, I'd suggest getting another cage. Also, rabbits and guinea pigs dieate is different, therefore, it's not a good idea. Though, sometimes they do get along, but shouldn't be left alone with out supervision.
No they are two different speices and have different dietry needs. Also rabbit can be very aggressive to guinea pigs and can even kill them. It would be much better to have the rabbit neutered and then get a neutered felmale rabbit from a rescue group.
i don't really think a guinea pig would be a good Companion for a rabbit as the rabbit can hurt the guinea pig.

i would get your male rabbit neutered and then you could get him a female rabbit
It's not recommended. I have kept rabbits and guinea pigs in the same room but seperate cages.
No, you should get a spayed female rabbit if you want company for him...guinea pigs and rabbits need different food and the rabbit could seriously hurt or kill the guinea pig.
Rabbits like to mate. So I don't know if it would work or not. The rabbit may just try to hump the guinea pig all the time.
hi friend yes you can keep your rabbit and guinea pig together in the same house . i did wen i had a .rabbit and guinea pig .
Not a good idea . The RSPCA are telling owners not to put rabbits %26amp; guinea pigs in the same hutch.
why not spay it and keep it witha femal rabbite that way they will be happy and you wont be neck deep in rabbits.
I'm not sure on that one, I think a female would be best, but you should check with a vet first.
