What is the most expensive breed of rabbit?

The giants. Continental giants are around £200.

I think any one who trys to sell any rabbit for more then that are crazy, they only live for like 3-5 years.

I have two dwarf-lops and i payed £20 each for them

Netherland i payed £5

Lionhead i payed £15

Continental giant i payed £12 ( but they did lie to me about her breed)

Dutch £4

Dutch £Free

I dont think they are that expensive. What is the most expensive breed of rabbit?
What makes a rabbit expensive is either quality or rarity. A top show winning animal in a very competitive breed like Mini Rex, Holland Lop or Netherland Dwarf will set you back big bucks.

The new breeds are also expensive due to their rarity. People are paying obscenely high process for barely adequate Lionheads because they are new. The Velveteen Lops are also more expensive than they will be once they are more wide spread. Both these breeds are in the process of obtaining ARBA standardization.

People pay these prices because they think it is a good investment. It It may or may not be depending on how good a breeder you are. Bringing in really good blood only helps if you are smart about how you use it. The bubble always bursts in the rarer breeds as they become more common. If you don't have good ones, the market at decent prices quickly evaporates. What is the most expensive breed of rabbit?
Most of the time the expensive ones are the new and upcoming breeds. These are rabbits that have not been approved by the ARBA yet but breeders are working on them to make them presentable to pass the standard.

Any breed can have expensive rabbits. If a rabbit has won many BIS and has acquired it's Grand Champion certificate it will be more to purchase than a rabbit that has never been shown.

Prices can range from free to hundreds of dollars, even thousands.

So you can't really say one breed is more expensive than another. Many factors depend on what the rabbit is worth.
Yeah I'm guessing the giant breeds such as Flemish and German Giant, they are commonly bred for meat but they make great pets. Second would be the common Lops, purebred which are used for show such as Hollands, French then the Dwarfs and so on...
