What type of toys should my rabbit be able to play with?

i just got her from the fair, and she is very small, i think young, but anyway, i have never owned a rabbit before so i have No idea. What type of toys should my rabbit be able to play with?
Use cardboard paper towel or TP rolls. One of my bunnies loves playing with cardboard boxes. She gets inside of them and starts digging like crazy. My other bunny likes playing with the little jingling balls that are in the cat section of the pet store. When ever you go to the pet store look in the small animal section and they should have toys you can buy. Be careful about buying treats. Most treats that you buy aren't healthy for you pet (even if they say they are) especially if it's young. You should only feed your bunny timothy hay and timothy pellets. Don't give the rabbit fruits until it's at least 3 months old.

You need to do a lot of research since this is your first bunny. I know people who have gotten a bunny from the fair and then got rid of it because it was too mean. They clearly didn't understand how to treat it and take care of it.What type of toys should my rabbit be able to play with?
There are a variety of things that rabbits can play with. For starters, you can buy your new pet anything at your local pet store that's made for rabbits. They tend to like anything with wood, treats or hay on the toy. Do not buy any toys that are made for other animals such as dogs or cats. They may potentially harm your rabbit if they aren't designed for him in the first place.

If you find the rabbit toys at the pet store too expensive, you can always make your own! You'll need to make sure that everything is safe for your rabbit (no sharp edges or anything he could choke on).

Here's a good website that tells you everything that's rabbit-safe for your pet that you can give him to play with:

http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/toys.…

- The page also explains other key factors as to why rabbits should play with toys.

On a side note, I'd recommend you take your rabbit to see a small animal certified veterinarian near by. By doing so, your new pet will receive a full check up by the vet to make sure he's happy and healthy. The veterinarian will be more than happy to answer any of your first time rabbit owning questions as will the website link I posted above. Hope this helps and good luck with the new addition!
You got her from the fair? *growl* (Not angry at you, the people who thought it would be a good idea to have a rabbit as a prize...)

Anyway, my rabbit was perfectly happy with a toilet roll tube. He would grab it and throw it around!! You can also buy ';edible balls'; from Pets At Home.

You can also buy willow sticks from Pets at Home, which are basically a load of sticks tied up that the rabbits can chew up. Mine really loved them!

Do you have a picture? I am just a little concerned about how young this rabbit might be.
Here we go again:

Many pet shops sell toys suitable for rabbits but spending money isn't necessary, there are plenty of things to be found in the average house that can be converted into bunny toys for free.

Grass Tray

Use a seed tray or similar to make your rabbits very own piece of lawn. Fill the tray with compost and sprinkle on grass seeds. Water once a day and you should soon have a tray full of grass. For extra interest you could add a few dandelion seeds as well.

Cardboard Boxes

Definately their favourtie toy ever. The humble cardboard box is perhaps one of the best things invented, as anyone with children will know cardboard boxes can often be more popular than the toys that come in them!

Large cardboard boxes make an excellent hidy house, turn one upside down and use sissors to cut a rabbit sized hole. If you feeling more adventurous add windows too, your rabbit may also add his/her own. Filling the box with shredded paper or adding a tunnel to get in/out adds extra interest. If you have more than one box cut several door ways and put them together to give your rabbit a house with rooms.

Smaller boxes are great for throwing around. Try cutting a small hole in one side filling it with pellets or treats then closing it up. As your rabbit throws the box the food will fall out giving extra interest to the toy.

Flower Pot

Large ceramic pots make great hidy holes. Use a brick each side to stabalise it and stop it rolling away. Smaller plastic pots can be thrown, stuffed with hay or hung up with hay or leafy greens in.

Paper

Shredded, balled-up, an old telephone directory etc. all make fun rabbit toys. Your bun can enjoy tearing it up, throwing it around, hiding under it and lots of other bunny games.

Food Tubs

Cardboard or plastic tubs, with or without lids can be used in lots of different ways. As with the small boxes you can cut cut a hole and fill them with treats that will fall out as the toys is moved. They can also be stuffed with hay or freshh grass. Even empty they are ideal for throwing around.

Fruit Trees

Branches from fruit trees, such as apple, are great for rabbits to knaw on, as well as being great play things this also means its good for their teeth.

Digging Box

A deep box, either cardboard or plastic, is great for digging in. Fillings could include shredded paper, hay, leaves from rabbit safe trees (autumn activity) or soil. Adding bits of food gives extra interest, try 'planting' a carrot.

Card Board Tubes

Large cardboaard tubes make great tunnels, they can be used as entrance ways into cardboard boxes or just on their own. Joined together you can make a network of tunnels.

Balls

Footballs, cat balls etc. all make good toys for your bun to push around. They can also be hung up for your rabbit to play with.

Cotton wheel

The plastic wheels that have cotton up can be rolled around and thrown. Remove the cotton first, though!
Congratulations! Love your bunny and she will love you back! I love bunnies they are as sweet as sweet can be! And feisty too! The answer above me has some really good suggestions for you to make your own toys and treats. I definitely think you should read up on your bunny. I have a bunny and I love him. Everything he does! Even his burrowing he did just a few days ago - ripping open the care fresh bag and creating a burrow under my night stand table. It was a natural thing to do for this time of year. Even though he has a nice place to nestle in his cage he runs free in a room so I guess he preferred that area instead. The reason why I mention this story is once you learn about bunnies you will learn about why they do things and then you will be less likely to think you have a bad bunny that you need to give away. If bunny likes to go to the bathroom in a certain spot just move the litter pan to that place. See how easy it can be? So read up on bunnies to help you not to get mad or frustrated at your bunny as he grows and matures. I wish you many happy years together!
Try to give them cardboard, they love to tear it up and its good to maintain healthy teeth. I would also suggest taking her to the vet to make sure she is in good health and find out more about your rabbit, hope you are up to taking care of this animal for its life (10-12 years!).

Do you know what to feed the rabbit? Have a cage? Let me know if you have questions, I love rabbits and know a lot!
You can make your own bunny castles, or you can buy them on line. The on line ones are probably prettier, and also more functional as they have multiple stories that your bunnies can climb between! Your rabbit will enjoy renovating them to suit their needs, and when the floors give way, you can order extras to replace them! Many people really do swear by these bunny castles. If you do buy one, just make sure that you get one that doesn't have a whole lot of ink on it.

Mine like balls, pop bottles with stones in and toilet roll holders with hay and treats in. They also loves there nose to be rubbed. Rabbits are easily amused.

They also love wood toys like rings and the mobile things.
Well u can go to a store and buy some toys specifically made for rabbits. I have a minilop that loves to throw a twine carrot around and destroyed it in a day
Rabbits will play with anything they can get their mouth on. My rabbit loves chewing on old phonebooks. They like to throw things around their cage, so put out little chew toys and stuff.
